2026 Conference brings NY charter sector together in NYC
Hundreds of public charter school leaders from across New York gathered in NYC for the 2026 New York Charter Schools Conference
MANHATTAN, NY (Oct. 15-17, 2025) — New York’s public charter school sector gathered in Times Square for the 2026 New York Charter Schools Conference for three days of learning, connection, and collaboration.
Hundreds of attendees came to the Westin New York at Times Square for a full schedule of learning sessions on issues most important to charter school leaders, inspiring speakers, consultations with experts across the education field, and a chance to connect with fellow leaders.
It was the 8th year that the New York Charter Schools Association has hosted the only statewide gathering of New York’s charter school sector.
Using insights gathered from our work year-round and feedback from our school leaders, our Conference team worked to develop a content schedule that touches on all of the most pressing issues facing charter schools and brought new perspectives that leaders can learn from.

2026 Conference Highlights
Learning new ideas: Our attendees choose from dozens of learning sessions tailored to public charter school leaders and designed to bring the leading ideas to help address the most pressing needs at their schools and adapt to new regulations and realities.
Preparing leaders for Portrait of a Graduate: Day 3 content was devoted to helping leaders prepare for New York’s Portrait of a Graduate framework, including a detailed timeline, financial and climate education, and supporting graduates now and beyond.
Connecting with experts: Through Consultant Office Hours, all of our attendees had a chance to reserve a one-on-one conversation with consultants who have the expertise to address your biggest problem.
Building new relationships: Networking events throughout the conference schedule brought attendees together to digest what they’ve learned and collaborate to address shared challenges.
