Regulatory changes in light of COVID-19
The Regents unanimously approved a series of amendments to provide additional flexibilities and clarifications to schools for the Commissioner’s regulations in response to the COVID-19 crisis. You can view the presentation that was given on these emergency regulatory amendments by clicking here.

The Regents reviewed the Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) Course and Performance Report. The discussion on this item focused on equity and accessibility issues. The presentation can be accessed here. No action was taken on this item.
The Regents also received a presentation on the 2021-2022 Non-State Aid Budget and Legislative Initiatives. This presentation addressed the DOB’s current withholdings as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and stated that “All or a portion of these withholdings may be converted to permanent reductions, depending on the size and timing of new Federal aid, if any.” You can access this presentation here.
